50 Great Virb Designs
Anybody who knows me has had to listen has had to endure my endless ramblings about my Virb profile over the last few months. I’ve seen some amazing designs and I wanted to do one myself. But on to some of the profiles that have inspired and left me in awe. I present my favorite 50 Virb profiles.
- virb.com/svenigson Bence Kucsan is an interactive designer and developer. I love the little touches like the scribbly line drawings and slight drop shadows on the images.
- virb.com/hydra Hydra Studio uses a really sweet illustration and typography to stand out and it works.
- virb.com/keithgibbs eith Gibbs’ profile almost doesn’t look like a Virb page. The comments are awsome, the word bubble overlaps his friends photos.
- virb.com/tripwire Jina Bolton’s profile has my favorite comment section. A great use of typography. All the content is sectioned off nicely.
- virb.com/kurafire This profile is all about the photo up top and how well it’s cropped.
- virb.com/sourjayne A cool header but what I really like is the 3 column grid. I haven’t seen that much on Virb.
- virb.com/peterbjornandjohn Peter & Bjorn and John is a promo site, and it does a good job of integrating the music player with the illustration. Very memorable and a good use of the medium.
- virb.com/leevi Leevi Graham’s little icons up top are very cool. I’m a sucker for dark reds with white type. The slight drop shadow really helps it pop. Great stuff.
- virb.com/popestvictor It should surprise no one that I like this profile. I gravitate towards anything with quirky illustrations.
- virb.com/jkmakesmusic Oh no more quirky illustrations. I think the textures here rock.
