A couple times a year Mount Union, a small college in Alliance Ohio, calls on us to design an email campaign and flash landing page for their alumni.
This project was a collaboration with front end developer Mike Duff (Simple Adaptation) and project manager Megan Walters (Right Click Marketing). Our most recent alumni animation created their spring campaign can be viewed here.
The web site design for the Beachwood City Schools was a collaboration with WRIS, a web development agency in Cleveland Ohio.
The tag line for the district is “a Public School with a Private School Feel.” The web site was designed to look high end but still appeal to students and parents alike.
Graphic Design
This is a design comp that was created as a redesign concept in 2007 while I was working at DigitalDay.
We were tasked with fitting more content onto the home page without it feeling cluttered or overwhelming. I chose to focus on the appetite appeal photos since a majority of the users coming to the site were looking for recipes. I wanted those users to be drawn in by the food and also introduce them to the other offering of the site.
I worked with the in house team at MarshBerry to bring their new web site to life. Their brand had changed and evolved a lot over the years since their initial web site design. I updated the look and feel to be more in line with their print material.
When designing with green and yellow you have to be careful that the design doesn't get to cartoony. I brought in some shades of gray to bring down the intensity of the green and used the yellow as an accent color to keep the brand professional and clean.
DigitalDay was tabbed to redesign the Hungy Jack web site in 2006 and I headed up the redesign team. We updated the old site on a monthly basis with new recipes and promotions. We wanted to get that content more up front and center in the new redesign. We also wanted to make the site easier to update on a monthly basis.
